I competed in the latest round of the San Francisco regions SCCA autocross event yesterday. This was the first event with my newly installed Penske 8300 shocks.
Overall, the day went pretty well. My first run was trashed due to some dirt or other foreign material in the carburetor, but otherwise the car performed very well.
Over the past few days before the event I reset the corner weights, alignment, and ride heights so I could start building a new setup for the car.
These new shocks allowed me to tune out most of the bad handling issues with the car. I still have a a lot more tuning to do, but I think I am off to a good start.
